About
Archbold Expeditions, founded by Richard Archbold, is a non-profit organization located south of Lake Placid in south-central Florida. Dedicated to long-term ecological research coupled with education and conservation, our work addresses the needs of the Northern Everglades, one of the world’s most important regions for water, wildlife, and rare plants and animals. Programs speak to scientific, education and conservation issues throughout the Northern Everglades, from the high scrub ridges, through the open prairie ranchlands, to lake and river systems
